“Working with the charity sector is always a privilege, but the work Springboard do to help disadvantaged and unemployed people find their passion and a career in the sector is nothing short of amazing. We’re very proud that our work can play a small part in contributing to a great cause which makes such a positive impact on so many lives.”

Our work with Springboard Charity
Springboard is a UK-based charity on a mission to future-proof the talent pipeline for hospitality and tourism. For over 30 years, Springboard has given young and unemployed people the skills and confidence to launch their careers in hospitality through a vast range of education programmes, employability initiatives and careers services.
The team at Made have been supporting Springboard since 2018 with ad-hoc creative, producing various campaigns to help promote their highly respected charity work and sponsored events including bike rides, pantomimes and gala dinners, with campaign branding, social and web banners, emails, programmes, event signage and promotional materials. Our Creative Director, Dave Collier also played a key role in Springboard’s rebrand in 2020, collaborating with their in-house design team to consult on and ensure the successful delivery of the new brand.
We’ve proudly supported a number of Springboard’s initiatives over the years, including the London to Paris Velo Challenge, where we were awarded first prize for most sponsorship raised.

This year, Made was asked to help raise awareness for one of Springboard’s 2025 initiatives – a Virtual Race from London to Australia – seeing teams virtually running, pushing, cycling, walking or swimming the 10,122 miles between Wembley Stadium, London to the Adelaide Oval, Australia.
Our brief:
For the team here at Made, the task was to create a unique and memorable visual design concept that could be brought to life across both static and moving assets to capture the attention of participating teams, sponsors and supporters alike. The look had to be visually striking – bold, energetic and inspiring – to stand out in communications, and come to life on-screen at events and online.
Alongside a suite of digital and print materials, including sponsor packs, web banners and and static promotional assets for social media, Springboard also wanted a short video to support fundraising – to be used for corporate fundraising events, posted across social media and shown on the large screens at a charity reception at Wembley Stadium.
With a timeline in place, our team needed to move quickly from concept to delivery, balancing creativity with efficiency to hit campaign and event milestones.
“Working with Springboard gives our agency a real sense of achievement, knowing that the work we create will go towards helping young and unemployed people become the future of the hospitality sector. We are proud to offer our creative support that helps raise awareness, has a direct impact and complements the important work done everyday by the amazing team at Springboard.”
Dave Collier, Creative Director

The process and execution:
At the heart of all the deliverables was the logo – which needed to instantly communicate the essence of the project but also contain the fun, spirit and energy of the race itself. Blessed with a wealth of iconic shapes and imagery to represent the start and finish destinations and work with, this was a particularly fun project for the Made team.
With a visual identity established, complete with an instantly relatable colour palette and image style set, we were able to roll this out across key campaign materials, which included the sales deck, social assets, videos, print and digital assets.
A promotional video that would both outline the challenge and drive people to sign up and take part was also required. This entailed conceptualisation, scriptwriting, storyboarding and production. Our vision for this piece was to project the fun and energy of the competition as well as motivating viewers to sign up. This motivational, aspirational feel influenced footage choices, copy tone of voice and aesthetic.
What Springboard say:
“It has been an absolute joy working with Made on our Virtual Race Down Under campaign visuals. They are very striking and really communicate the story of the campaign effectively, catching attention and sparking curiosity. The team respond to feedback and work quickly, producing high quality results that have exceeded all of my expectations. The promotional video has got great traction, and we hope that this will be our most successful Virtual Race ever!”
